A lifetime of working in the printing and publishing trade led Ron to teaching computer graphics at MIT’s School of Visual Arts. Working with all those talented artists influenced him to adapt his mechanical and graphics skills to design and make his own style of jewellery. Every piece is made from recycled materials like cutlery, clocks, coins and all kinds of scrap metals. Each unique piece has its own story and is hand made in Ron’s Helensville studio. Over the last year Ron has acquired a lot of scrap copper and old coins to which he now adds both electro etching and hammered textures.
