My intention is to share my painting as well as highlight the piece of land I'm displaying on which we call, the 10-acre block. A piece of land that was gifted to the people of Helensville to help educate and develop the town.  The gift had one extra clause over it and that was that when it was no longer needed it would be returned to Tangatawhena.
This part of the deal wasn't originally observed, as some of the block was sold or used outside of the agreed use. 
I am in this place, now, because this kaupapa has been recognized.
​As an acknowledgement to this kaupapa and our tupuna, Te Otene Kikokiko, none of my pieces are for sale.
