For as long as she can remember, Pauline has loved to draw. Completing a Fine Art Degree in painting at Sheffield Polytechnic in the UK in 1984, she began working as an alternative hairdresser in 1990. It was wonderful having your art in the public arena and building relationships with the people who were modelling your art. In 2009 she was invited to Helensville to create an arts & activities programme for people with disabilities. She loves seeing ‘differently abled’ artists exhibiting in mainstream settings, enjoying their spontaneous art practices. Her recent art making is something she describes as ‘playing with paint’.
