The Railway Collective
Kristen fell in love with clay over 5 years ago and has been using it ever since for her creative practice. She mostly uses the kurinuki technique to carve from a solid block of clay to form beautiful teaware and sculptural pieces. She also draws on various handbuilding techniques to create unique pieces of art that will bring both art and joy into your home. Kristen's love for tea, the natural world and the healing experience that comes from using clay form part of her inspiration for her work. She has exhibited recently at ASP Fire and Clay and Kaipara Sculpture Gardens as well as other small galleries including Public Record and Foundation Gallery.
