Katriona draws inspiration from her orchard garden on the edge of Te Awaroa, Helensville. Her creative practice combines her passions for textiles, colour and natural fibres. Katriona's work is a vibrant exploration of our natural world intertwining textures and colours to tell stories. This is particularly evident in her larger works where she utilises natural fibres and fabrics as well as her passion for colour. Through raranga (weaving), dyeing, stitching and photography, Katriona’s work aims to remind us to care for and appreciate the beauty of our natural world. |
