Graham Braddock was born in Auckland in 1942 and began painting professionally in 1975. He won the Kelliher Art Award in 1975 and 1977, and in 1976 established the Downtown Hilton Gallery. Graham is best known for his New Zealand landscape paintings, often featuring rural settings, bush and coastlines. He has exhibited widely throughout Auckland and around New Zealand. From 2002 to 2017, Graham ran art workshops in schools, introducing thousands of New Zealand children to simple, freehand drawing skills. Graham mainly paints in oils, often working over other media. His work is inspired by the fun and truth found in everyday things, as well as his sense of wonder at God’s creation and His Word.
