Cyanotype Printmaking & Terrarium Designs
LOCATION:
Makers Market Helensville War Memorial Hall 49 Commercial Road, Helensville. |
I am a keen observer of the natural world around us, including flora and fauna often overlooked at first glance. During dog walks along the beaches of South Head, Kaipara Harbour I noticed a diversity of beachcast seaweeds. I have explored displaying and sharing the beautiful forms of seaweed and other natural objects using cyanotypes, an eco-friendly art print method from the 19th century. I am excited to offer a selection of prints at the Makers Market. This year, my artistic exploration of the natural world has expanded into terrarium design as living artworks, showcasing the captivating forms of terrestrial plants in low-maintenance ecosystems.
